Drains blocked
Reported via mobile in the Drain blocked category anonymously at 23:15, Fri 23 February 2024
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14138806.
All drains are full of silt and no rain water can escape, therefore on a regular basis the rain water is causing a large area of standing water to accumulate which vehicles are driving through and drenching pedestrians on the pavement. The drains are on the west bound side of Welshpool Road between Shepherds Lane and Gains Park Way Bicton Heath, shrewsbury.

These drains are still blocked and causing standing water to appear whenever it rains, which seems to be always these days, admittedly you can’t control the weather but you should be able to control what’s going down the drains, and that is road debris. Can you please repair the road as it has now deteriorated so badly that the road surface no longer exists, but is blocking the drains.
