There is a drainage ditch located approximately 10 yards from our property and when there is any appreciable rain it gets blocked and overflows and the overflowing water takes the dirt and silt with it and runs onto our yard and garden causing repeated floods up to 6 inches or more deep. The drainage ditch has not been cleaned for many years and i think another part of the problem is the underground watercourse which goes to the other end of the four houses is not clearing through at the end of the piping so the water does not have a complete run through for the water to come out at the other end..All the grass outside our gate has disappeared to be replaced by thick piles of mud all caused by this persistent drainage problem it needs sorting as we are flooded in our garden and yard many times during each year and it has ruined our grass and replaced it with thick mud.
