Verge on both sidces of Twyford Lane
Reported via desktop in the Highway Boundary Query category anonymously at 10:26, Tue 13 February 2024
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14137069.
The grass verge on both sides of Twyford Lane are being damaged by people parking and has been present for at least 6 months. This causes a significant amount of mud, as you can see from the pictures, which flows down towards our driveway entrance and blocks the drains causing flooding. The flooding has previously been reported and the Council responded very quickly to empty the drains and sweep the roadway. The issue with the verge requires a long-term solution

The parking problem and damage to the verge continues as per pictures. I believe the verge is council property given the position of the school road sign etc. I also note that the road opposite Twyford Lane (Oak Farm Lane) has posts in the verge and similar to my issue the house owner further down has reverted to placing their own posts on the driveway entrance to stop people parking there and blocking their entrance and exit. What are the Council’s plans?
