Footpath dangerous

Reported via desktop in the Cultivating or Planting on a Verge category anonymously at 09:31, Tuesday 13 February 2024

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14137057.

The verge between the fields lane and the black horse pub is dangerous for pedestrians due to the planting of a hedge adjacent to the brick wall and fence panel boundary with orchard park. The Hedge needs removing as it serves no purpose other than to impede pedestrians forcing them onto the adjacent road. This has been like this for over 20years and has been raised many times before, The solution is to remove the hedge and as a minimum cover the verge with chippings to provide a path way for pedestrians . there is also a speed limit sign which just needs relocating to prevent pedestrians being forced into the road, This issue has been raised by everyone I have spoken to, who use this path to ;walk dogs, push prams, children on bikes, or tricycles.
