Still blocked drain!

Previously repaired! Drain still blocked with water pouring 12 inches out of drain cover flooding surrounding road and gardens

  • Customer called to advise that person who reported this case was contacted by the officer on 14 Feb, who said that he would visit the property later that day, but he never arrived. Please contact person who reported the case with an update.

  • This issue of flooding remains outstanding after several months despite gully cleaning. Continual flooding has eroded the tarmac around the drain inspection cover making access to my property difficult. I received telephone contact with an official 14/2/2024 who advised he would visit later that day. I have heard nothing further. Severn Trent water on 10/1/2024 identified no assets in our area and that the gulley is the responsibility of the Local Authority. Severn Trent engineers, working on a totally unrelated matter in the area today, have advised on looking into the inspection drain cover that a broken collar is responsible for the blockage and the flooding of water onto the road and surrounding drives/gardens which is causing the destruction of the surrounding tarmac and subsidence.   • I believe today has seen the gulley being cleaned. This action alone does not fix the issue. We believe (and understand after a face to face meeting with a neighbour) that a full investigation of the robustness of the pipe work which is possibly broken would be undertaken and that the hole and subsidence around the drain cover caused by the continual flooding and creating access problems to our property would be repaired
