4 foot long pothole/scar in the road

Today I noticed this large deep-ish pothole/scar in the road - some 3 inches deep in part, and about 4 foot long. Not sure how long it's been there, but I don't recall seeing it last week.

When you are coming INTO Cheswardine from Market Drayton, it's just past the turning to the Wharf Tavern (on the left hand side.) It is rather dangerous.. Especially as it's on a bend, and people may be tempted to swerve to avoid the pothole! Please repair soon. Thank you :)
