Salt Solid

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14129983.

The salt bin in Daywell Crescent is 3/4 full of salt that is rock hard and unusable. Can this be removed/loosened and the salt bin topped up. Someone has topped up the salt bin at the entrance to Daywell Crescent, but they have just put a small amount of fresh salt on top of the rock solid salt. Can anything be done about this as well.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.

  • Customer called again and is not happy that this bin has not be replenished, this bin is full of rock hard salt and you cant use it, customer is asking for old salt to be removed and new salt putting in, he reported this issue over 4 months ago and still nothing has been done, please can this be sorted ASAP

  • Customer called again because the issue he reported has not been addressed. The salt in the bins has turned into a rock and has been like this for over a year - when the men came the are just throwing fresh salt onto the block which is unusable because it is so hard and lumpy. Please can the two salt bins be emptied of the rubbish salt and refilled completely.
