  • The council's response said "The location has been inspected and photographs taken. The vehicle is parked on private property, not owned, maintained or otherwise under the control of Shropshire Council. Unfortunately, Shropshire Council have no lawful authority or responsibility to remove it." My response, emailed on 14/12/2023 was "Please see https://www.gov.uk/ guidance/ abandoned-vehicles-council-responsibilities#duty-to-remove-abandoned-vehicles. As I understand it, it makes no difference whether the vehicle is on private property or not. Also the council has a duty to remove it regardless of whether the land it is on is owned, maintained or otherwise under the control of Shropshire Council. Would you please reconsider your decision in view of current legislation.

As of 02/02/2024 I have had no reponse from the council and the vehicle has not been moved.
