Constant flooding on road every time it rains

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14126792.

Every time it rains thia road floods in at least two places- immediately after the canal bridge and slightly further on. It doesn’t even have to be heavy rain for it to happen. It is difficult to turn in the road if you encounter this. Can some sort of drainage solution be provided please. I have just started to use this road and have been afraid to drive whenever it rains.

  • This has not been resolved. Work was done further down the road at the junction with Betton moss but not where I reported it just after the canal bridge on this road. Floods every time it rains. A drainage solution is required.

  • The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.

    Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.

    In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
