Replacement lampost

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14122828.

Lampost in question is directly in front 75 Oak drive, Oswestry, Shropshire SY11 2RY. A new post has been erected along side the old lamp post but no electrical connection.Its been two years since the initial request so does need attending to asap.

  • Please chase this matter up. There was a incident in the adjoining property with an intruder during the night on 24th Sept with the lack of lighting causing concern. This request is a long standing one. Are we able to commission an electrical company to deal with it and charge the Council?

  • I note that the last update from Shropshire was 19th September and at that point I gather you were waiting fro the contractor to report. It is now 31st October and this light has been out of action for an extensive period. Please chase the contractor for a reason why it seems to be taking months if not years to provide the replacement, and if there is a valid difficulty with say a third party, perhaps you might consider reaching out to residents to explain.
