Lack of traffic light warning signs

Reported via desktop in the Other Highways issue category anonymously at 16:18, Tuesday 12 September 2023

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14122402.

I am emailing to complain that there is NO traffic light warning signs whatsoever / slow down signs etc on what appear to be now permanent traffic lights on the Churchstoke to Welshpool road A490 near Calcott Farm area. The traffic lights have been there a long time due to an accident on a very steep drop so as the right hand verge is unsafe as major engineering works would need to be done to make the road safe, the traffic lights are somewhat of a permanent feature. I travel this road occasionally and the traffic lights always catch me out and you have to slam your breaks on HARD on a bend to stop!!!!! !!!!! One day there is going to be a serious accident!!!! The hedges etc are all overgrown too and signs from the other side cannot be seen well . Al least there is warning signs on the approach from Welshpool to Churchstoke but NOT churchstoke to Welshpool direction. There are about 20 or so black skid marks on the road the other side too catching many people out!! It needs urgent waring signs erected as soon as possible and the signs clearly visible with no overgrowth>. PLEASE can this be passe on to the correct person to action. I am sure everyone travelling on that road would be MOST grateful.
