Water Discharge - Bridge Road
Reported via mobile in the Watercourse category anonymously at 10:17, Thu 3 August 2023
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14119913.
Reported yesterday, and you closed the case after clearing the nearest storm drain. However this is still an on going issue and the storm drain has already become overwhelmed and the water is bypassing again down the main road. Yet again causing damage to the road, creating very large pot holes and causing damage to private property including but not limited to driveways and drop curbs. Can we please arrange a suitable solution for this problem as soon as possible. I would also like to highlight that last winter this water caused problems and danger to pedestrians and motorists when it froze in cold weather. With multiple local residents falling and several cars skidding and loosing control. There are two other natural watercourses that feed onto Bridge Road slightly higher up than this one. One located at The Mines junction and one 25 meters further along from this. Both have had storm drains positioned correctly to immediately capture the water and control any risk to the public.

Can I please ask for an update on this issue, it has been nearly two months since first reported and the problem is only getting worse damaging the road and local properties. Thanks
