Rain water drain ineffective

This drain is not blocked but is not able to effectively trap rain water due to its position I.e. not in gutter or base of camber. During periods of heavy rain water is being diverted down Mill Road causing flooding in Abbey Wharf. Existing drains in Mill Road/Abbey Wharf are not designed to cope with drainage from Abbey Foregate. Could the drain in attached photo be repositioned to be more effective.

  • Have looked at this and confirm issues, going forward plan to adjust levels next to gully to stop water flowing down off highway this may take some time to complete as Minor works requires permits & TM .
