RAGWORT from SJ 80455 05338 to SJ 80151 05986
Reported via desktop in the Tree/Grass/Shrub Problem on a highway/verge category anonymously at 15:27, Thu 6 July 2023
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14117862.
Ragwort is a highly invasive and dangerous plant which is not native to the UK and every year you are failing to control it - esp in the Cosford lights area. This failure results in the plant spreading - the seeds travel for miles! It is toxic and WILL kill animals (horses, cows, sheep, donkeys etc). PLEASE remove and destroy by burning BEFORE it goes to seed. In future, just mow the verges completely, not just part.

Has called as this needs cutting or getting rid of as the seeds will spread onto agricultural land which is dangerous for animals and livestock.
