Street light out along College Street
Reported via desktop in the Street Light Out category anonymously at 13:39, Fri 30 June 2023
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14117461.
There is a street light half way up College Street which has been out for many months now. This narrow street is particularly dark late at night and I would be grateful if you could arrange to replace this as soon as possible.

Several months later this light is still out leaving the street too dark for safe walking

I walk this way most nights to get to my car and it's a bit disconcerting with the street light out. The street lights in this area are few and far between as it is, so as a lone woman walking to her car in what is essentially pitch black, please fix this issue.

This light was first reported as out in June of 2023. It is an area frequented by tourists and directly opposite age-restricted housing. Six months later and the light is still not fixed with previous tickets closed. The area is very dark. As we lost a few neighbours to slipp and falls in the last two years and are again heading into an icy season this should be escalated to a priority beyond the scope of routine maintenance programmes, please.

Please advise on where we can find the schedule of upcoming maintenance or timeline in which it is expected to be completed? I cannot find this information on the council website.
It is also concerning that the status of all open tickets are changed to "closed" without the situation actually being addressed as this can skew data and reflect inappropriate key performance indicator progress in reports.
