The excess rainwater from A529 flows down Marl Pit Lane. The drain close to the crossroads is proud of the road surface so water gouges out a gulley down the side of the road. This picks up gravel and sand which is deposited in the driveway to 1 Mount Pleasant Cottage. Whilst safety works were in progress at the crossroad recently I brought this to the attention of a supervisor who said the drain needed lowering 20 mm. A patch of tarmac has been put in the original gulley but the only effect this has had is to move the course of the water to create a new chanel. The drain needs dropping to catch the water from the A529 to prevent the road disintegrating and ending up in our driveway.
