Two lane drains blocked in Bull Lane close to properties Pikeside, Meadowside and Heatherfield. Continuous excess running water and mud, causing erosion to side of lane, danger to vehicles and walkers, and accumulation within garden at Pikeside.

These blocked drains have been reported several times by other property owner/s in the lane and we now note considerable erosion to the sides of the lane and water collecting on our land close to the house.

In recent wintry conditions the freezing of this water caused risk of accident to vehicles and pedestrians.

This now seems a longstanding problem and is not resolved in dry weather.

There are two drains affected, one approximately in line with the Pikeside garage, the other further down the lane opposite the gate to Heatherfield.

Probably been blocked for over a year.

  • To date the owners of both Meadowside and Pikeside, Bull Lane, SY6 7EU have had no acknowledgements of this reported issue, no notification of intended repair and no work done to rectify this situation. I first reported this issue at the start of the year! I have since reported it three times since. My neighbour I am given to understand the same amount, plus photos. Should any damage to either property after a heavy rainfall occur I will be seeking redress from the Council.
