Surface collapsed into pothole by blocked drain. Danger to cyclists.
Reported via desktop in the Carriageway pothole category anonymously at 18:32, Sunday 19 March 2023
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14109962.
Drain is completely blocked. Large pothole has formed next to it (road surface semi-derelict). Road covered in mud from farm traffic, location is on bend down slope. Serious hazard to cyclists in avoiding this obstacles, and could also damage a vehicle.
Action required: 1) clear drain so that it functions., 2) proper repair to pothole which means using qualified operator and ensuring surface is smoothed. This does not mean dumping a shovelful of tarmac somewhere near the hole and leaving it as has been done nearby.

Problem reopened (council consider 'will put on the list' as closed which means it will never get done). Also to keep it here as a reported safety hazard in case anyone does have an accident - this means that Shropshire Council will be liable.

Reopened as unsafe for road users. Precedent that councils can only be held liable if the issue is reported and shown as open.
