Under road pipe silted up

Reported via mobile in the Standing water on the highway category anonymously at 13:52, Tuesday 14 March 2023

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14109572.

The brook crosses the road at this point, through an under ground pipe; when the pipe is overwhelmed with water and/or silted up it causes road flooding and the water backs up the stream adjacent to our property. This is a known issue as we have previously had highways drainage teams at this site. we have however, as of the past 6 months, begun to experience internal flooding to our property in relation to this brook and believe that the silt build up is one of the contributing factors as the water cannot flow downstream to the canal fast enough due to the pipe work. please can maintenance of the silt removal at this location be increased and a site visit be undertaken as soon as possible as the current pipe work is being overwhelmed by the increased volume of water.

I would like to be contacted with regard to this issue and your proposed resolution further please.
