Giveway markings are very faded

Reported via desktop in the Markings missing/defective category anonymously at 16:15, Thu 9 March 2023

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14109174.

This is a remarkably dangerous junction. We look directly across it and regularly see people failing to notice that they need to give way. There are no signs on posts, so drivers have to spot the road markings, which are now faded. It is dangerous enough to require a safety mirror, so the lack of signs is stupid. Please repaint the road and consider a couple of give way, or stop signs.

  • I can corroborate this. Tregarthen Lane is used by many non-locals who are unfamiliar with the road and some of whom seem to think they are still driving on the A483 or the A5. We regularly see them speeding like the clappers past us and (usually) coming to an abrupt halt/red brake lights on or overshooting at this junction. Could the Council please also consider some speed bumps a bit further up the road?
