Overgrown Brambles Over Pavement

Reported via mobile in the Cultivating or Planting on a Verge category anonymously at 19:54, Sunday 5 March 2023

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14108825.

The bank next to the pavement is overrun with brambles and nettles. The overgrown, stinging, sharp plants catch on clothes, skin, hats and make it impossible to pass with a buggy. We have to walk in the road, which is also narrow.

  • Thank you for taking action on this. However, your subcontractors have clearly done the bare minimum. The nettles and brambles will be blocking the path within 4 weeks time. Pull the nettle roots out, cut the brambles right back to ground and it wouldn’t need touching for at least 6 months. If a proper job isn’t done I will have to submit a new Report in a couple of weeks time. And again 2 weeks after that. And so on.
