Damaged footpath

Reported via Android in the Footway surface problem category anonymously at 20:08, Sun 29 January 2023

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14106178.

This whole stretch of footpath needs the slabs sorting. Very uneven and a trip hazard. Getting worse from heavy traffic that the path was not designed for.

  • Vehicle continue to use the footpath here, churning up the verges and the green in front of Nos 8 to 13. The path is being damaged, making access by mobility scooter, pram and pushchair dangerous. I would be grateful if you could look into this matter with utmost urgency.

  • Possibly why the footpath is getting damaged? 4 vehicles now using public green space for parking.

  • This is a longstanding problem (images on Google Satellite View show tyre tracks on the grass going back some years) and as is inevitable, the longer it has gone unaddressed the more people are driving over the path and grass. There are several people living on the Oakfield Estate with prams, mobility scooters or with other mobility issues who use this path and as previous reports state, it is dangerously uneven.
