Ice Problem

Reported via desktop in the Treatment request carriageway category anonymously at 15:07, Wednesday 18 January 2023

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14105074.

Sheinton Road was very dangerous this morning in the ice. Several cars could not get up the hill and had to reverse down. Customer wants to know if a salt bin could be placed somewhere on the verge approx. 100 metres from Whitwell Cottage, TF13 6NP. Alternatively can this road be placed on to the defined gritting network.

  • If a saltbox was to be located, the best position would probably be on a wide part of the verge on the right between Whitwell Cottage and Gleedon Hill Farm.

  • Can you tell me what has been done? There is no salt bin in place. So has Sheinton Road been added to the defined gritting network?
