Hole in the road

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway surface problem category anonymously at 08:18, Monday 9 January 2023

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14103870.

At the beginning of last year she reported a hole that was in tarmac next to the kerb, it had got a lot worse and was temporarily filled in back in May, she spoke to the engineer who said it was down to be investigated and that the road would need to dug up to sort it out, since then nothing happened. She is concerned as thinks there is a section of a pipe that is leaking as she and her neighbour have a lot of damp issues since this hole appeared. Would like this looking into and fixing as soon as possible please.

  • I’ve taken a few photos to show what the area that was filled temporarily in 2021 looks like now. Cracked tarmac and sunken down into a much more extensive area than the original hole.
