Trees blocking light into garden

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown Trees/Hedges category anonymously at 11:30, Mon 12 December 2022

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14102077.

The conifers, which you brush cut last month are over 2 metres tall and blocking light into our gardens in Cavell Drive. If you look at the photos you can see we have to pay to keep them under control but cannot reach the far side. I believe that it illegal to have conifers that tall they interfere with another property.

  • I am still waiting for a response to this and have also made phone calls

Under The Anti-Social Behaviour Act (2003) only applies to:

Hedges of two or more evergreen or mostly evergreen trees, not to individual trees hedges over two metres tall hedges affecting domestic property

Your trees are causing this so it looks like we will need to take legal action against the council.
