Missing cover plate on Give Way sign

Reported via desktop in the Illuminated Sign Damaged category anonymously at 09:15, Thu 1 December 2022 ; (there is no pin shown as the user did not use the map)

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14101411.

The Give Way sign is on the junction of Upper Road and Hereford Road. The cover plate has been removed and someone has placed it in our garden (50 Hereford Road). The electrical wires are now exposed, which is dangerous. It has been like this for several days.

  • Your email of yesterday stated that the problem had been fixed and this is not the case. After the initial report to you that the cover was missing some one appeared within 2 or 3 days who wrapped hazard tape around the post to cover the exposed wires this is still in place and has now started to deteriorate having faded and holes have appeared. No permanent solution is in place and no further work has been carried out since the problem was reported in early December 2022.
