Poorly repaired road surface following utility work

Reported via desktop in the Carriageway surface problem category anonymously at 12:56, Wed 23 November 2022

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14100753.

Following utility company work immediately in front of no's 9 and 11 the road surface has been poorly repaired (sometime ago). The consequence is that rainwater does not drain into the adjacent grids but builds up into a puddle. There are three impacts. firstly, passing cars splash the sides of no's 9 /11 with water. Secondly, water enters the air brick of number 11. Thirdly, water drains down the sloping alley between no's 9 and 11 which provides access to number 10. As a consequence number 11 now has a damp problem on the front of the house immediately adjacent to the puddle and a further damp problem on the alley way wall. All three houses are recognised as being of historic interest by English Heritage and are consequently listed.
