Effluent running down the road and into property and water coursee
Reported via desktop in the Other Highways issue category anonymously at 08:56, Mon 7 November 2022
Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14099465.
Untreated animal effluent is allowed to run onto the road and into a local water course. This untreated effluent has to be walked through and driven through if you want to access the properties' down this road. this means that vehicles are dragging this muck on to properties and also by foot. It is very unpleasant but most importantly it must be a contamination risk! this should not be allowed to continue.

It's been 2 weeks since my report of cow muck and effluent on the road and I haven't heard from you. The situation gets worse each day especially when it rains. Also there is a large pothole of the south side of the road which requires prompt attention before it causes damage to passing vehicles. when can I expect a response from confirming the cause of action you intend to take to rectify the problem?

The issue you reported has been assessed and the necessary work will be included in our programme of upcoming maintenance.
Our priority is to be effective at responding to the most serious problems so at this time we are unable to provide an exact timescale.
In the meantime until these works can be undertaken, we will continue to undertake routine inspections, whereby notifiable issues are recorded and scheduled for action.
