Fly Tip of Cooking Oil.

Reported via desktop in the Fly Tipping category anonymously at 13:55, Fri 21 October 2022

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14098476.

Lots of containers. Appears to be cooking oil containers but there is a synthetic smell which is very strong coming from the contents. Appears to be abandoned waste from a restaurant.

  • This should be treated as an environmental hazard as the contents are leaking into the soil. Please can this be investigated asap. If the contents are flammable this could be an even higher risk.

  • MESSAGE SENT BY EMAIL "I am reporting some Fly Tipping of some vegetable oil barrels and buckets etc located on Hanwood Road near the Electricity Substation opposite and near the junction of Bank Farm Road I believe this issue was reported in March this year and they are still there. There is a smell of oil coming from them and they may be leaking oil into the surrounding ground which will cause an Environmental issue I have photos if you want to contact me"
