Request for Additional Lighting

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14097376.

A couple of elderly residents from the bungalows in Pinefield Close have asked if there could be an additional light head fitted to the current one to light up the footpath from Pinefields Close to the Main Road.

  • This is a MWTC matter. And a additional street lamp would definitely be beneficial to the local residents of the bungalows. Please can this be looked into again as it is very difficult to see on the dark winter nights and a accident or a trip could occur if an extra street light isn’t added to the footpath in the future. Thank you

    This issue needs to be addressed and looked into by MWTC as the pictures show above that this area is in pitch black and a accident is waiting to happen. Local residents need to take this matter to wenlock town council. And as it is the main footpath to get into town from the elderly people’s bungalows it definitely isn’t up to British street lighting standards and a risk to our elderly community who deserve a decent light to help them especially in the winter months. And as there is a handrail all the way down the footpath this would suggest that vulnerable people use this footpath and an additional street light in this area would definitely be beneficial to the location community and especially the elderly and vulnerable residents.
