Dangerous surface

Reported via desktop in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 17:16, Fri 30 September 2022

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14097272.

The Road to Petton off A 528 from the bend half way down the road, past the junction towards property called Oaskdene. This whole stretch of road surface has 8-9 indentations caused by heavy farm vehicles. Customer hit a bump today and his car sump slammed the road. Will cause an accident, as it is unexpected by motorists. The road has had pot hole repair over time but needs a total road re-surfacing.

  • The issue I reported has still NOT been fixed - the sump hitting the road as I described caused the failure of a suspension coil spring on my car which has just been discovered by an MOT resulting in a bill of £331.28 to replace it and repair my car. Can I claim this from the Council?

Please advise when the undulating road serface will be fixed - a warning sign at either end of the bad section is hardly the way to leave it.
