Hi

I emailed approx 3 months ago to report that the maintenance on the roundabout has been neglected. A reply was received stating that my it was included within a regular maintenance programme.

Still no one has been and it looks a complete mess. The grass requires mowing (not strimmed) and it appears that lorries keep driving over it. The weeds are also all growing through the surrounding paving stones.

  • This roundabout will need to be re-designed. It has been fixed previously but I have witnessed lorries driving over the curb which causes it more damage each time. I would suggest the curb is dropped in favour of a flat design with a smaller centre island or completely flat.

  • Customer is calling in regard to the maintenance of this r-about. He states that the areas are a mess and unkept and hasn't been attended to for over 2 years

  • I have received multiple complaints about both the design and upkeep of this notorious roundabout. A timescale of both when the roundabout will be redesigned and when it will be maintained would be very helpful, and the least that local residents deserve. I would also point out that this is on a main route from the A5 into the town, and as such presents a very poor initial impression of Shrewsbury to visitors.
