Manhole overflowing

Reported via desktop in the Standing water on the highway category anonymously at 13:26, Sun 24 July 2022

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14093385.

I think this is a highway drain - the manhole cover was overflowing very fast a few moments ago.

  • The overflowing manhole outside Harefield, Farley Road, was investigated and eventually traced to a blockage outside Bringewood. This blocked drain was dug up and repaired in November 2022. Now, in January 2023, the blocked drain continues to overflow across the pavement outside Harefield and is visibly full of water which refuses to drain away. It seems the November repair had not cured the problem.
