Pavement Breaking Up

Reported via desktop in the Footway surface problem category anonymously at 14:58, Fri 15 July 2022

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14092899.

The photos attached are of the pavement opposite 2 Jasmine Cottage and 1 Avondale on Station Road in Whittington village.

As you can see, this damage is on the nearest side to the road. It has been caused by people driving up and along the pavement to pass oncoming traffic. Many residents have witnessed various sized vehicles doing this, ranging from small cars, to lorries.

Lots of pedestrians use that side of the road as it leads directly to the school, bus stop and the very busy shop.

That area of pavement needs immediate attention before someone gets seriously injured.
