Garden waste abandoned

Reported via mobile in the Flower/Shrubs bed problem category anonymously at 16:09, Mon 13 June 2022

Sent to Shropshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14090794.

When Holland and broadbridge did some garden maintenance between tennants on 29 Sawston close, they replaced a fence panel and left the heap of ivy from the old panel on the verge. This was back in February. I've spoken to them about it and they deny it was them, so it must be coincidental timing. It's outside the properly lines, on the council path. The council's mower team have mowed around it several times now. I'm not sure who's responsibility it should be to collect it but its been there too long now and the grass will have died underneath, theirs lots of weeds covering it and the mower team aren't able to do a large chunk of that path neatly until it's removed. I would put it in my green bin but it's always full from my garden. I really hope you can help us resolve this, several neighbors and passers by have commented on it. Thanks very much!

  • Hi, this pile is still here, the maintenance team have been mowing around it all summer. It is likely a home for hedgehogs and other wildlife for winter now so please can it be removed in the spring? (It's been their since February 22)
7 December 2022 - Shropshire Council hi Steve, it's reference 14090794. Its a heap of garden waste so I am conscious that because it hasn't been tidied up over the summer there are likely to be hedgehogs hibernating within it now
