Due to the large nearby school, the road is a high traffic area during school drop-off and pick-up times. These potholes are getting bigger and are a safety risk to drivers and pedestrians that cross the road. Some potholes are very deep and the various layers that make up a typical road, can clearly be seen. The majority of car passengers and pedestrians are school children - Shropshire Council are putting these school children at risk by neglecting this road.

Is there any update please? It’s the worst road in the town for pot holes and is causing problems to our cars. Half term would have been a perfect week to resurface it with it not being so busy!

The state of the road has deteriorated further over the winter and now poses a higher risk to both pedestrians (mainly school children) and all road users. Damage is being caused to cars by these potholes and the council will receive claims for repairs.

Some repairs were carried out to a small number of potholes on this road. The quality of work is extremely poor and the stone that's been used to fill the holes is already coming out (see attached images). The company were called Pronin and how they can charge the council/highways for the work that they've done is criminal. Does anyone from the council/highways actually check the work? There are potholes further down the road towards Victoria Street that also require attention. What is needed is a complete resurface of this road, by competent contractors.
